We however also find ourselves taking on jobs such as machining components for other departments on the railway usually if another department is struggling with some engineering issue it will fall on us to help out. We can use skills from basic cleaning to precision machining and training can be given.

 

The department is open 7 days a week and there are always jobs to be done. We also have a good social side by meeting up with each other in the evenings after work and regular social gatherings.
