About us

The East Lancashire Railway Preservation Society has been in existence for over 50 years, and has recently become a Company Limited by Guarantee.  With a membership of 3,500 like-minded individuals who have a passion for heritage railways, the Society is managed by a board of unpaid volunteer directors.

Any surplus made by the ELRPS Ltd is re-invested in infrastructure projects to support the continued development the East Lancashire Railway.   To date the Society has provided project funding in excess of £600k.

By becoming a member of the Society or by renewing your membership when it expires you will enable further funding and financial support to the Railway.
