The East Lancashire Railway’s gift shop is situated in the Booking Hall at Bolton Street Station. On special event days, additional pop up shops can be found at various locations around the railway. The shops sell various merchandise from ELR branded goods to other railway related items, ensuring customers can take away a souvenir from their visit.
We are actively recruiting Retail Assistants who will be responsible for the following duties:

Interacting with customers to sell souvenirs

Cash handling including use of a till and credit card terminal

Ensuring shelves are fully stocked and are in a clean and tidy manner

Dealing with and resolving customer enquiries

Adhering to health & safety practices
You will need to be friendly and enthusiastic as there is a high level of customer interaction involved within this role and therefore demonstrating exceptional customer service is essential.
No specific level of fitness is requires, however you should be prepared to be on your feet for a considerable period of time.
